Trudie Parsons

Trudie brings to BWH Communication more than a decade of communication management experience gained from both consultancy and in-house environments. Her expertise spans across local and state government as well as the property, construction, technology and travel industries.

Having held senior positions in public relations consultancies, including global agencies in London, Trudie has honed superior communication skills at both a strategic and hands-on level across a range of disciplines. These areas include community and stakeholder engagement, media relations, communications strategy, issues management, print management and event coordination.

Since joining BWH Communication in 2008, Trudie has delivered stakeholder engagement and media relations to a number of clients including Brisbane City Council, the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Investa Property Group and Pradella Developments. This has involved stakeholder communication at a community, business and government level.

Prior to joining BWH, Trudie was the Media and Communications Manager at Stella Hospitality Group: Australia’s largest accommodation provider with more than 150 hotels across Australia, New Zealand and Africa.

From 2002 to 2006, she was based in London and directed European communication campaigns for high-growth technology companies such as Fujitsu Software, Blu-ray Disc Association and Verizon Business.

Through her previous Queensland positions, Trudie has delivered communication activities for a number of well-known organisations and businesses including The Wesley Hospital and the Queensland Government’s Information Industries Bureau.

She holds a Bachelor of Business (Communications) from the Queensland University of Technology.
